Lyle Kinane is a freelance "operator," a finder...he gets a call, he finds things, and no matter what, he gets them back. A chameleon, focused, and hard-wired to his tradecraft, he's good at his job. One of the best.

Then an easy job goes bad over a package, and Lyle's cut off, set afloat with no work, no information, and a lifelong anxiety disorder flaring up as paranoia about that last job eats at his brain. There's nothing left to do except sit and wait...and maybe find out who is trying to set him up by looking at the package he just happened to hang on too.
